2023 NAPA Standards of Excellence Award Recipients

The National APIDA Panhellenic Association hosted its annual Standards of Excellence Awards at the close of the 2023 NAPA Annual Meeting in Tampa, Florida. 

“Looking back on 2023 we have seen incredible contributions from our NAPA organizations, their leadership, headquarters staff, volunteers, and individual members. It has been an important year to acknowledge our resilience as an association and the ability of our members to impact their local communities,” says NAPA Director of Councils Nora McGlynn. “As we turn toward 2024, and prepare for our future endeavors, the Annual Awards Ceremony is a perfect opportunity to celebrate our accomplishments while we commit to advancing our communities in the upcoming year.” 

2023 Award Recipients

Individual Recognition

  • Advisor of the Year: Kevin Saberre, University of Texas at Dallas
  • Change Agent of the Year: Abby Pasion (ΔΦΩ)
  • Professional of the Year: Dharmi Mehta (ΔΚΔ)
  • Undergraduate of the Year: Saanika Gad (ΔΚΔ)
  • Volunteer of the Year: Mikylela Orbon (αΚΔΦ)

Local Chapter Recognition

  • Outstanding Cultural Programming: ΔΦΛ at Georgia State University
  • Outstanding Educational Programming: ΔΦΩ at University of Connecticut
  • Outstanding Philanthropic Programming: ɑΚΔΦ at Rochester Institute of Technology
  • Outstanding University Council: Greeks of the Pan-Asian American Council at University of Illinois at Chicago

National Recognition

  • Alumni Initiative of the Year: ΔΦΛ Mentorship Program

NAPA organizations set the gold standard for Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) fraternities and sororities. In addition to meeting the association’s base standards, NAPA member organizations are exposed to resources and expertise to help them continually improve and be the best they can be. Universities, Greek Councils, and students want the best APIDA fraternities and sororities on campus and they can find them in NAPA.
